Over the past few weeks, we've been quietly rolling out three of our most-requested features to help self-publishing authors build reviews for their books and audiobooks.
After testing these features with our Founding Authors and incorporating their feedback, we are thrilled to announce that all three features are officially LIVE for all BookMonty members starting today!
TL;DR: Your latest BookMonty updates help you reach more readers, build reviews across more platforms, and simplify your review requests with the Friends & Family Reader Network, support for Goodreads, Kobo, and Barnes & Noble review platforms, and automatically generated direct Amazon review links.
Here's a full breakdown of what's new and how to start using these features in BookMonty.
Feature #1: Bring More Readers Into the Community with the Friends & Family Reader Network
One of our Founding Authors asked us: Who has time to read and review other authors?
Indeed. As an author, you're busy enough creating, brainstorming, and writing your next books, so you have little time for anything else.
But...
You probably know people who simply love reading, right? With BookMonty’s Friends & Family Reader Network, you can invite them to join the community. Your invited readers can discover books by other authors, share honest opinions, and earn Hoots for you.
How we protect review ethics: To keep review profiles completely honest and compliant with KDP guidelines, invited readers cannot see or review books belonging to the person who invited them. This helps grow the broader reader pool for everyone without putting your account or book reviews at risk.
You can learn more in our Friends & Family Reader Network guide.
Feature #2: Expand Your Reach Beyond Amazon (Goodreads, Kobo, & Barnes & Noble)
BookMonty now fully supports reviews on Goodreads, Kobo, and Barnes & Noble, joining our existing support for Amazon, Audible, and Spotify.
You can now include more of your active publishing channels in your BookMonty strategy, helping you build a balanced, multi-platform review footprint wherever your book is sold.
Note: BookMonty support does not imply affiliation with or endorsement by these third-party platforms
Feature #3: Make Amazon Review Requests Easier With Direct Review Links
When you ask a reader to share their thoughts, make the next step easy!
BookMonty now automatically generates direct Amazon review links for your books and their relevant marketplaces. You can use these links in your reader emails and follow-ups to help people reach the review submission page.
That means you spend less time finding the right link, and your readers have fewer steps to complete.
Note: A direct link makes navigation easier. It does not bypass Amazon’s eligibility requirements or guarantee that a submitted review will appear.
Keeping Honest Reader Opinions at the Center
As always, BookMonty remains dedicated to ethical review growth. We never require review swaps, charge for reviews, or guarantee positive ratings. Readers share their true, unbiased opinions, helping you build genuine social proof for your work.
"Review integrity is non-negotiable for us. Authors need real, compliant feedback to build lasting careers, and readers need to trust what they’re reading. By combining multi-platform access with strict isolation guards on our Friends & Family network, we’re giving self-published authors a powerful tool that respects store policies and keeps authentic reader voices front and center."
— Lan, Co-Founder of BookMonty
Whether you're launching a new title or bringing attention back to your backlist, you can use these features to broaden your review-building efforts across the platforms where your books and audiobooks are available.
